Stick with a well-fitted suit and take it from there. Every man should own at least two different suits in shades of black or dark blue. If you don't have one yet, now's the time to get one. Nothing looks better on a man than a classic suit. Why not start the new year looking like a young successful business man. Everybody loves an ambitious career guy...so you better suit up!

When it comes to your shirt don't try to make a bargain, rather invest in a premium white shirt with a nice stiff collar. Especially cufflings give your shirt a little ¨luxury¨ twist. Cufflings come in different shapes and sizes, here you show your playful side and take some risks.

Advice Number 3 - Never without bowtie
If you fancy bowties now's your time to shine. Go for a shinier one than you would want to wear to a normal party, you do not want to be simply a hipster but rather a gentleman with a good sense of taste.

Advice Number 4 - Invest in a nice pair of genuine leather shoes
... they don't have to be necessarily from italy but at least they should look like they do. Look for a smoth leather ones with pointy toes. If you already own the perfect pair, then work on a colored or neutral shoewax to get this ultra shiny ¨brandnew¨ look. Remember leather is skin which also needs moisture. A good pair of leather shoes will last for ages so invest well!

Advice Number 5 - Don't forget the grooming
So you've got now your outfit from head to toe. Now take your time to pamper yourself with a good ol' grooming. If you usually don't have the time to get all styled up, this is no excuse. Caring for your appearance says a lot about your personality and if you are single you definitely want to enhance your chances for that kiss on midnight. So shave or trim your beard and all the other hair on several body parts.. psst those under your arm pits or in the intimate region. If you're a greek god with a nice amount of chest hair...good for you.

Advice Number 6 - Smell good
So now we spoke about the festive apparel, accessorizing, grooming and body hair. Don't forget that we are also ¨animals¨ following our sense of taste. You should smell decent. Have a shower, put on neutral deodorant and a decent amount of perfume. Never exaggerate with the amount of pumps.

On no other occasion like New Year's eve you get to mingle with so many pretty gals at once. Don't play safe, take some risks instead and show interest in your counterpart and let loose.
